Youssef Aroub

Chair, MIT Africa Innovate Conference






Youssef Aroub is the Chair of the 9th annual MIT Africa Innovate Conference, a unique and intimate forum that brings together leading entrepreneurs and change-agents from across the African continent. Youssef is scheduled to graduate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with Dual MBA/MS in Mechanical Engineering degrees in June 2019. Prior to MIT, Youssef spent three and a half years leading teams in operations, supply chain, and strategy as part of the Rolls-Royce Operations Management Leadership Program. During his undergrad, Youssef spent two summers interning with Boeing, first as a Manufacturing Engineer and later as an R&D Engineer. During his MBA, Youssef interned with Amazon in the Advanced Technology Group working on Robotics and AI implementation strategy.

Outside of work, Youssef enjoys scuba diving, skiing, sailing, soccer, and world travel. Youssef spent four years as a radio host and executive producer, as well as a TV host for Shaw TV and as a video blogger for Francophone Canadian newspaper La Liberte.
