Samuel Ngai, Ph.D. is the Vice President of Innovation Center of Danaher Corporation where he focuses on equity investment of life sciences and diagnostics companies in Greater China. Prior to Danaher, Dr. Ngai served as the Asia-Pacific Corporate Development and Integration Lead for Thermo Fisher Scientific. In this capacity, Dr. Ngai oversaw Thermo Fisher’s corporate development activities across all APAC countries.

Before returning to Asia, Dr. Ngai was a M&A and venture capital (VC) professional in Silicon Valley, with experience spanning across US, Europe and Asia. Early in his career, Dr. Ngai worked as a strategy consultant in the US health care industry and as a lab assistant at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). Outside of his corporate responsibilities, Dr. Ngai is an advisor and angel investor for early stage companies.

Dr. Ngai received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and B.S. degree from University of California at Berkeley, all in Chemical Engineering.
