Ria San Gabriel

Head of Community, Connected Women

Ria San Gabriel is the Head of Community of Connected Women, a social impact tech startup aimed at improving women’s lives by driving tech adoption, entrepreneurship and remote work.

A connector and an ecosystem builder with a background in events, psychology, gender and development, she took on various roles and thrived in unrelated industries – from multinational corporations like IBM to humanitarian organizations such as Médecins Sans Frontières HK.

Passionate in making impactful collaborations for several women’s initiatives, Ria became one of UN Women’s Global Champion for Women’s Economic Empowerment in 2015.

Intellectually curious, into many creative pursuits and without one true calling, she is also interested in diversity, inclusive innovation, social entrepreneurship, technology, design, and the future of work.
