Mark Ignash is the Program Manager for Defense Operations at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. In this role, Mark manages day-to-day operations pertaining to a statewide project portfolio focused on enhancing and growing Michigan’s defense industrial base and prospects. Mark also engages with companies at all stages within the defense supply chain, from early stage companies to large defense primes, to help them identify resources that can help them to grow.

In prior roles, Mark has served as a subject matter expert and advisor to the industrial base as the Client Support Administrator and Strategist at the Macomb-Oakland University Incubator, where he connected businesses to Michigan’s entrepreneurial support ecosystem and provided strategies and solutions to high-tech startups focused on technology commercialization. Mark also served with the Procurement Technical Assistance Center where he advised, trained, and supported businesses of all sizes regarding business diversification and growth within the defense marketplace.

Mark holds a B.B.A. in Management from the Shidler College of Business, is a Certified Federal Contracts Manager, holds a Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting from The George Washington University, and has obtained several training facilitator designations for subjects pertaining to entrepreneurship programs and startups.
