Marie manages the SVX investor strategy and community, including education and engagement activities as well as several partnership projects. Beyond these, Marie was instrumental in leading several initiatives for impact ventures at MaRS, including investment readiness program, SVX Pre-Flight, a mentorship program, and conducting analysis of SVX issuers.
Prior to MaRS, Marie has a background supporting entrepreneurs with both program-implementing and grant-making organizations. With UNRWA in Palestine and MEDA in Tanzania, Marie supported impact assessment and project operations. She most recently worked at The MasterCard Foundation where she worked on the Youth Livelihoods portfolio, supporting research and new initiative development. Marie graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BSc. (GRS, Hons) in Resource Economics.

We are starting to see decision makers get closer to and source solutions from the people who are affected by industry disruptions
