Maria has more than 20 years of combined professional experience in financial inclusion, investment promotion, and capital markets. As a short term intermittent consultant, she worked for the Office of Technical Assistance – US Treasury Department. In that capacity, she provided technical assistance in enhancing access to credit to Micro & Small Enterprises for Dominican Republic and the review and discuss of draft law to promote and develop Micro & Small Enterprises for El Salvador. In addition, she advised local microcredit institutions in capacity building.
Maria started her career at the World Bank, Washington DC as an analyst and she holds an MBA from The George Washington University and a BA in Political Science from Universidad Católica de Córdoba.
