Marcos worked at Citibank between 1985-1991. In 1991, he was part of a team that established and managed a joint venture with Banque Indosuez which later became Credit Agricole Indosuez. Subsequently, he was one of the founding partners of Spinnaker Capital, a hedge fund specialized in Emerging Markets. He chaired the board of directors of the fund and was in charge of its Latin American Investments until he left in 2013.
From 2013 onwards, Marcos has assumed an active role in boards of non-government entities in the fields of Education and Public Safety. He is the founder of Think Tank called Center of Debates on Public Policies – CDPP, a private, non-partisan and non-profit organization that is dedicated to the debate, study and advocacy of public policies for Brazil in the fields of Economics, Education and Public Safety.
Marcos also maintains his business and investment activities with great emphasis on Education and Health, through and investment office called Jointvest Principal Investing, concentrating his family charitable initiatives as trustee of an UK Charitable Foundation called TVML.
He is active in the São Paulo Jewish community as the current president of the Congregação Israelita Paulista, a member of the Board of Directors of Taglit- Birthright in Brasil and chairman of the Board of the Jewish Federation of São Paulo.Return to Experts
