Laura is the Colombia Leadership Manager for Acumen. Passionate about human potential, social impact and leadership, she’s working on adapting and launching the renowned program in her home country. Before joining Acumen, she worked as Senior Consultant with Agora Partnerships, providing entrepreneurs in Latin America with the support they need to take their businesses to the next level. As a part of Acumen’s 2016 cohort of Acumen Global Fellows, Laura supported Amal Academy, an education social enterprise in Pakistan where she ran operations and lead their efforts to expand and grow. Laura started her career in Avianca, optimizing and redefining their revenue strategy, pricing models and operationalizing growth plans. She holds a BA in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and an MA in Strategic Project Management from Heriot-Watt University, Politecnico di Milano and UmeĆ„ Universitet. While looking for intersections between business and philanthropy; and finding a sweet spot between her skill-set, training and profession; she is in a life-long journey to support building a Colombia post-conflict.
