Katharina is deeply passionate about the interplay between technology, capital and people to create a future that holds opportunities for all.

Her professional expertise lies in developing and implementing strategies that address business and societal challenges to improve lives. At CDC Group, an investment firm, Katharina leads the approach to managing impact in the deal process in the education, health, technology, media, telecoms and retail sector. Additionally, Katharina works with portfolio companies to pioneer the execution of impact initiatives that translate directly to the bottom line and create long-term value. Having lived for over five years in developing markets, mostly across Africa, she brings deep insights of local operating realities to her work. 

Katharina has published numerous articles and reports about innovative business models, gender-lens investing and the future of work. She spends her free time as an advisor to technology start-ups and as a founder of Coohort, a network for COOs. Katharina holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and is currently in the midst of her Executive MBA at London Business School.
