Dr. Joyce L. Suber is a true philanthropist, sitting on several non-profit foundation boards. It is her servant spirit that led her to the Michigan Women’s Foundation, where she works as the Executive Director of the Entrepreneurial Initiative Program. Along, with her non-profit acumen, Joyce brings to this position an extensive leadership background in “for profit, non-profit and healthcare” environments. She is a professor at several colleges and universities in the Metro Detroit area and an author.
Joyce, a lifelong learner, possesses a Doctorate degree in Management, specializing in Executive Leadership (Walsh College), M.A.P.T. (Ashland Theological Seminary), M.S.A. (Central Michigan University), and B.S.M. (Siena Heights University); all with honors. She also holds certifications in PeerSpectives, Project Management (CMU) and Executive Leadership (Inforum). Additionally, and just as important, she is the very proud mother of two sons, and “Mi-Joy” to her two beautiful granddaughters.
Why are you optimistic about the future of work?
I’m optimistic about the future, because I believe that as we work collaboratively to create an inclusive environment entrepreneurs, particularly women, will flourish.
