Jim is the winner of the 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year in Northern California

He won the 2004 National Father’s Day Association “Father of the Year” Award

Jim recently spoke to 24,000 people at Rotary Toronto 2018 Convention on Literacy and Education, following Laura Bush

Jim’s inventions and companies have been covered by the WSJ, NYT, USA Today, TV, radio, and extensive web coverage

He has spoken on TED main stage twice, and recently gave TEDx talk on “Extreme Thinking for Extreme Problems”

Jim has a new book published in November, available for purchase here today, for $15.99, called “How to Raise a Founder with Heart”. Jim and his wife are donating all proceeds to Rotary and other charities.

Jim is currently on the board of or advising a half dozen companies in AI, AR, VR, and human collaboration and connectedness.

Jim is a Rotarian from the Lamorinda Sunrise Club in Lafayette, California.
