Henok Assefa is a leading advisor in business strategy and economic development in Ethiopia. He is the founder Precise Consult International, one of the largest business and economic development advisory firms in the region. As head of Precise, Henok has led more than 200 strategic engagements with investors and entrepreneurs. He has also led major engagements with government agencies and international development agencies including the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Shell Foundation, USAID, DFID, and others.
As a champion of entrepreneurship, he has been at the forefront of three multi-million dollar business incubation and acceleration initiatives. Himself an entrepreneur, Henok serves as the chairman of “Precise Investments”, an investment vehicle with interests in Commercial Real Estate, Agribusiness, Wholesale and Retail sectors. He is also a founding member of the Addis Abeba Angels Network which is looking to invest into the emerging technology space of Ethiopia.
Henok holds a bachelor and masters degrees in Economics from Fordham University in New York City. He has 20 years of experience working and investing in the United States and parts of Africa.
