Erick currently works as associate at a private investment vehicle based in Mexico. The investments are in private and public companies in the telecom, technology, real estate, banking, and entertainment industries. He has been on the financial industry since the beginning of his career, in 2012. From 2014 to 2016, he was a buy-side fixed income trader for HSBC Asset Management and participated on the investment team in charge of managing US$1.5B in several fixed income and equities portfolios. From 2016 to 2018, he was on the equities, and fixed income sell-side trading desk for Banorte, largest Mexican bank, where he actively participated on capital and debt raising for publicly traded companies alongside the investment banking division. Parallel to the trading activity, he worked as an associate in charge of the fintech division for DILA Capital, one of the largest venture capital firms in Mexico, where he still leads the M&A division. He is passionate about tech entrepreneurship where he has led investments on fintech and HR-tech industry. He loves playing all sorts of sports, from soccer to ice hockey, triathlons and even professional car racing.
Erick holds a B.A in Finance from Universidad Iberoamericana, and CAIA level I candidate.
