Dr. Denise Abulafia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated as a PhD in Cell Biology at University of Miami in US and moved to Mexico for 5 years to teach as an Associate Professor at School of Medicine at Universidad Anahuac. Denise returned to Argentina in early 2011 and was committed to generate a new high impact startup in education: Educatina.
Her team developed one of the leading educational online platforms in Latin America with more than 5 million users every month. Educatina was acquired by Competir Edutech Group in 2017.
Hertrepreneur, a program to empower social-impact business driven by women was founded by Denise.
Denise is also an active collaborator at TEDx talks in Argentina, a tennis player and a busy and passionate mother of three kids.
