Daniela Ruiz Massieu is a full-time professor at ITAM’s Business School and director of EPIC Lab: ITAM’s Center for Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. EPIC Lab’s mission is to provide students with skills and knowledge on entrepreneurship and to serve as the link between ITAM students and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. She actively serves as mentor and jury in different entrepreneurial initiatives.
Daniela Ruiz Massieu holds a BA in Business Administration from ITAM, an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, and a PhD in Business from Oklahoma State University. She teaches Entrepreneurial Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation and Business models, and has written several business cases focused on startups, venture capital, and startup valuation.
From 2012 to 2016 she was the director of ITAM’s undergraduate business program. She has also coordinated the Entrepreneurship program and Social Entrepreneurship program at Extended Learning at ITAM.
Her previous professional experience includes working as a financial analyst at Standard & Poor’s (1998-2000) and co-founding and managing a retail business in Mexico City from 2004 to 2011.
