Obanor Chukwuwezam is a 28 year old Nigerian with a passion for building businesses. He studied in Nigeria at the University of Lagos in 2012 and worked as a Google Africa Intern and later as a senior online marketing specialist at Rocket Internet’s Jumia Nigeria, where he gained relevant skills needed to leverage on the internet to create profitable ventures.
He hails from an educationalist background, his family has run a group of schools for over 27 years. Chukwuwezam has a passion for education and an insatiable zest for experimenting with viable ideas and building profitable businesses. He brought these two interests and co-founded PrepClassNG with Olumide Ogunlana in 2013
He is also an investor in madivas.com, a lifestyle and fashion platform that gained popularity among females in Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and South Africa with over 1.5million downloads.
He regularly speaks to hundreds of youth on radio, channels tv, featured on Forbes as one of the 30 most enterprising Africans under 30 and on highlight on CNN as a winner of the Anzisha award – Africa’s premier prize award given to the youngest and brightest entrepreneurs in Africa,
Why are you optimistic about the future of work?
Because as technology performs more complex tasks, workplaces of the future would require more people to focus on harnessing their natural talents, creativity and empathy.
