Boluwaji Oyewumi is the Director of Business Development and Growth at Moringa, where he runs Moringa’s business development activities, employer engagements and expansions into new markets. Since joining Moringa School, he has been responsible for various partnership
building activities towards organisational growth, revenue generation and geographical expansion.
Boluwaji began his career as an power generation engineer with General Electric. He transitioned on to social enterprise, and worked at Wecyclers in Nigeria where he served as the head of business development and took the organisation to profitability within 1 year. He expanded the company’s operations to several locations across Lagos through a franchise model.
He graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Certificate in Social Enterprise Management and Impact Investing from Middlebury Institute of International Studies in California. He is a Frontier Market Scout Fellow and a member of the prestigious World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community.
Why are you optimistic about the future of work?
I'm optimistic about the potential of the African youth towards the future of work because of the rapid economic growth these new jobs will cause.
