Birame N. Sock is a successful serial technology entrepreneur and currently a Managing Partner at Founder-5, Inc a startup services driven fund and the Founder of Upscan, a newly developed Interactive Digital Marketing platform. She was the winner of the 2010 Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards for North America and has been a member of the North America official Jury since 2017. She also serves on the National Board of Techbridge Girls, a non-profit focused on the education of STEM for young girls.
Birame was the Founder of Third Solutions (acquired in 2012) and was the visionary behind the first digital receipts platform, MyReceipts©. She was also the Founder of Musicphone, Inc. (acquired in July 2007 by Gracenote). Musicphone was the first to launch a Music Recognition service called MusicID (now Shazam).
Birame Sock served on the Board of a number of public companies and non-profits including Viggle Inc., The Commonwealth Institute, CKX, Inc..
As a result of her successes. Birame has been featured in Marie Claire Magazine, the Miami Herald, Forbes Magazine, Black Enterprise, the New York Times and Billboard Magazine amongst others and has appeared on CNBC and Good Morning America, and has spoken at many leading industry events.
