Ariana has been working towards sustainable socio-economic development in Latin America, Africa and Europe for over 20 years.
Currently Sr. Director for Innovation and Strategic Partnerships and Head of VISA’s Innovation Studio in Mexico, Ariana is in charge of disrupting both results and mindset through applied innovation and exponential technologies.
She was previously Executive Director of Smart Cities for Bosch, and before that held a position as Chief Innovation Officer for Gentera, LatAm’s largest micro-finance institution, where she created Fiinlab, LatAm´s first Financial Inclusion Innovation Lab.
Ariana was named a Rising Talent by the Women’s Forum of the Economy and Society in 2016.
She’s been a Board member, international Keynote speaker, mentor and judge at multiple accelerators, startups, NGOs, financial and tech organizations worldwide.
She studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at York University and holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics (LSE), and an MBA from IPADE. She has also studied at Singularity University, Institute for the Future, MIT and Harvard, focusing on the potential of technology to generate exponential impact.
Ariana is a conservation activist, Artificial Intelligence diversity advocate and fellow, diver, dog lover and wants to see more girls and women in tech.
